Team & Communication Assessment Screen
During the period of creating our ISTF project, the team progressed in both the communicating sense, how we worked together as a team. At the start of forming our team, our team did not work well together at all for some reason. As time went on, we began to communicate to one another more and more and completing more of our tasks. Between the teacher and the group there was some comunicating going on but, nothing outside of school. In the case of our technical advisor, we did not comunicate at all with them because we were unable to find one due to the numerous candidates not responding to our e-mails. That is how the team progresses throughout the duration of the ISTF project.
Like our teaming abilities, communication throughout the team was limited. It was done only and class and there was no work getting done outside of school due to lack of knowing what to do outside of class. About half way through the project, the team started communicating through e-mail as well as in class. More work was getting done and the quality of work was also improving. Communication with the teacher was also only done. Communication with a technical advisor was rendered useless due to not finding one because none would respond to our e-mails.
Three Lessons Learned
1. Communication is a necessity for any group project.
2. Procrastination only leads to more troubles down the road.
3. Even if you don't get along with your team members, put that aside and finish your tasks.
