Task 1

Work Force demand

The work force deamnd over 5 years will be based around research and application of TiO2 illistrated below in a graph is a possible line of employment of a small organisation or company developing the TiO2 product. over all employment will reach a max of 225 in the 5 year period. This also shows how funding could be gained for this endevour either through loans private sponsers or the govermant.

Task 2

Current graduate and Under graduate programs avialable that would help.

Undergraduate Program

http://www.umuc.edu/ugp/catalog00_01/enmt_txt.shtml

Offered at UMUC or University of Maryland University College

The department is Chemical Engineering and specifically Outdoor/Indoor Air Quality Management

Description: It’s an overview of air quality management. Its focus is on atmosphere, pollutants and sources, dispersion, effects, regulations, air pollution control, and noise control. There are many indoor air pollution topics such as the study of sick buildings, causes and risk factors, diagnostic protocols, contamination measurement, and problem mitigation.

Graduate Program

http://ceserver.lamar.edu/Program/graduate.htm

Offered at College of Graduate Studies

The department is Engineering Science and specifically Fundamentals of Air Pollution

Description: It focuses on pollutant sources, emissions and transport, and air pollution control methods. Particulate collection theory and gaseous pollutant removal theory is involved in the study. Atmospheric sampling and analysis methods will also be studied.

Task 3

New degree Program that could be developed in response to the new demand for air pollution control.

Chemical Engineering: Study of Smog Control

The Study of Smog Control is a graduate degree program under the department of Chemical Engineering. It focuses on air pollution in general and smog control in particular. The formation of smog and the different maneuvers used to control it will be studied. Specifically, the process of photocatalysis will be explained in detail along with the characteristics of the compound of titanium dioxide, which is a photocatalyst. The history and catastrophic results of smog will also be a part of the curriculum. Students will have a much more elaborate idea of smog and the best maneuvers used to control it after finishing this study.
