The class teaches web page basics and explores the behind the scenes language of every web page (html). Students will construct, edit, and maintain various web pages related to curricular content areas and personal interests.

The Curriculum Council has approved the addition of a middle school course equivalent to High School Computer Applications 616190 for the purpose of meeting the district high school graduation requirement at the middle school level. This goes into effect beginning fall of 2006 (class of 2011).

Additionally, students completing Middle School Computer Applications or its equivalent will be certified as technology literate to the state of Michigan as required by NCLB legislation.

Requirements stipulate a grade of C (75%) or better.

All equivalent options are listed here, with the new option in bold.

Middle School:

  • Computer Applications 501700 and 501800
  • Applications of Technology 508802 (formerly called 8th grade Tech Ed)
  • Woodworth Laptop Program: Requirements stipulate participation during the sixth grade school year with approval of the program teacher(s).

 

High School:
